Howard provides voice to this uncensored and emotional tale by way of an array of fascinating female characters: Josephine's domineering mother, Carrie McDonald; fellow chorus woman Lydia Jones; Ada "Bricktop" Smith, proprietor of the infamous nightclub "Bricktop's in Montmarte..<br>." Cheryl Howard has toured and executed extensively during the United States and Europe. Broadway credits involve: Bebe in Dance just a little Closer; on the American Spot Theatre corporation as Zora Neale Hurston in their manufacturing Zora; for the MCC theatre reading through of Black and White as Kali; Adele in Golden Motors for the Flea Theatre. Regionally, she has starred as the Witch in Into the Woods; Mazeppa in Gypsy; Pattie Mae in House, the Audio; LaLa inside Colored Museum; Josephine Baker in Lucky from the Rain; Miss Monisha in Tin Pan Alley Rag; and Muzzie in Thoroughly Modern day Millie. Cheryl has starred as Deena Jones in Dreamgirls in Berlin, Germany, and as Josephine Baker in Josephine: The Audio, which toured throughout Europe, winning her a Golden Heart Award for Greatest Actress in the Music and Finest Musical. She has taught Music Theatre Workshops in the Stages Performing Arts Academy in St. Louis, MO and holds a B.A. in theatre arts from Rutgers University as well as a Masters degree in Drama from Washington University in St. Louis.
